In an interview with “24 Chasa”, LUKOIL’s Special Commercial Manager Rumen Spetsov emphasized that the Burgas refinery is operating with secured diversified crude oil supplies and maintains reserves for a minimum of 90 days.

“My role is to manage the financial flows and guarantee the operation of the refinery, but we must also take into account the private interest of the owner - the Russian company \"Lukoil\". The function of the Special Manager is to maintain the ecosystem among the four \"Lukoil\" companies in Bulgaria in a financially sound condition.”

Rumen Spetsov also clearly stated that:

• supplies for Bulgaria are not directly dependent on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz area;
• price dynamics are determined mainly by international markets and logistics costs;
• the refinery operates with oil from different countries and sources;
• there is no change in the current trade mechanisms and contractual relations.

The company continues to closely monitor the international environment, with the main focus remaining on guaranteeing stability, predictability, and continuity of supplies for the Bulgarian market.

Will there be fuel - gasoline and diesel - for Bulgarians planning Easter, vacations, or simply traveling for work and taking their children to school?

There is fuel and there will be fuel. At present, we have no grounds to expect any problems with quantities. Less than half of the refinery's capacity is sufficient to supply the Bulgarian market.

We also maintain the required stocks of crude oil and petroleum products under the Act on Compulsory Stocks of Oil and Petroleum Products and, if necessary, by decision of the state, they can be released. Our fellow citizens can rest assured.
